Essential Educational Qualification:

Item No.1:      MBBS from a recognized University duly recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)/NMC

Item No.2:      The candidate shall hold at least Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign qualification.

Preference shall be given to those candidates who posses B.Sc/ M.Sc.(Forestry). 50% of the direct recruitment post shall be kept reserved for Forestry Graduates.

In the case of candidates who have a degree in pure Mathematics OR Statistics, they must have taken one of the following subjects in their Higher Secondary OR Matriculation OR equivalent examination: (i) Biology (ii) Physics (iii) Chemistry.

Physical Fitness:

A candidate who is successful in the competitive examination and interview held by the Commission must pass physical test and meet minimum physical standard as prescribed below:

(i)Male candidate who come out successful in the competitive examination must pass walking test covering a distance of 25(twenty five) kms within four hours on foot and women candidates, 16 (sixteen) kms within 4 hours on foot.

Note :

The upper age limit is relaxable by:

(a)        5(five) years for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

(b)        Age concession for serving Government employees will be allowed, the equal number of years they are in service subject to a maximum of 5(five) years.

2.         80% of the vacancies are reserved for the candidates belonging to (a) Any Naga Tribe (b) Kuki (c) Kachari (d) Garo and (e) Mikir provided such persons are Indigenous Inhabitant of the State of Nagaland.

3.         Implementation of reservation for backward tribes in the state shall be in accordance with the notification issued vide NO.RCBT 5/87(pt-II) dated14-04-2011, 15-06-2012 & 04.09.2015 & No.RCBT 5/87(pt-III) dated 23.03.2022.

4.         Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability, wherever applicable as sanctioned by the user department in accordance with the Government Notification NO.AR-3/Gen-9/97 dated 13^th August 2020 & No.AR-8/NSSB-9/2022/57 dated 5^th April, 2022.

5.         Terms & conditions:

i.          Only those candidates who possess the requisite qualification acquired from recognized university/institution at the time of applying will be eligible to apply for the post(s).

ii.         Candidates must produce attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents/materials to the Commission as and when called for:

a)         HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth. No other Certificate will be accepted for age proof.

b)         Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Backward Tribe Certificates as relevant and applicable.

c)         For physically handicapped candidate, certificate from competent medical authority is required.

d)        Proof of Educational Qualifications: Mark Sheets & Pass Certificates/Provisional Pass certificates from matriculation onwards till requisite qualification. If for any reason pass certificates/ provisional pass certificates is not issued by the Board/ Institute/University, a letter/certificate to that effect from the Board/Institute/University must be submitted.

f)          No Objection Certificate from the Head of Department/Public Undertaking to be furnished in case the applicant is an employee of the Government or Public Undertaking.

g)         All relevant documents/certificates to be submitted should have been issued by the concerned authority/institution/board/university on or before the last date of submission of application form.

h)         All original documents are also to be produced as and when called for and also during interview without which candidates will not be allowed to appear the interview.

6.         Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, S.C, S.T & B.T Certificates should be signed only by competent authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner.

7.         In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature shall stand cancelled.

8.     The decision of the Commission in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of examination, other tests and selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence shall be entertained by the Commission in this regard.

9.         Application forms will not be issued from the office of the Commission.

11.       OTR (One Time Registration) will be mandatory for filling up of online application for Combined Technical  Services Examination-2025 and future online application.

12.     a) OTR (One Time Registration) will be active from  12:00 noon  of 27^th June,2026 till 12:00 noon  of 15^th July, 2026. Only those candidates who are eligible to appear CTSE-2026 may register for OTR.

b)         No offline Exam Application Form will be issued from the Commission’s Office. Online Exam Application Form can be submitted at the NPSC portal i.e https://npsc.nagaland.gov.in  which will be available from 27^th June, 2026 12:00 till 12:00 Noon of 17^th July, 2026.

15.       For candidates who are Government employees, “No OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” signed by the Head of Department should be uploaded while submitting online application.

16.      OTR (One Time Registration) will be free of cost, Candidates have to pay examination fee of  Rs.300, convenience fee of Rs. 25 and payment gateway charges as applicable.

17.       Candidates are advised to download Pattern of Examination and Syllabus from the Commission’s website.
