Corrigendum
In continuation to the Advertisement No. NPSC-1/CESE-2026
dated 29.04.2026 and Addendum/Corrigendum dated 12.05.2026, the following
corrigendum and clarification regarding subject eligibility and related matters
is shown as under:
1.
With
reference to Corrigendum vide No. NPSC/EXAM-21/2023 dated 29.05.2026 Point No.1
as per letter received from Directorate of Higher Education vide
No.HED/GE/Post-Advt (Pt-II/2021 dated
8th June 2026, 1 (one) Post of
Assistant Professor Linguistic could
not be earmarked under Assistant Professor (English) as English and Linguistics
are separate subjects. Moreover, the department of Higher Education is yet to
introduce Linguistics as a subject in the Government Colleges. As such, 1 (one)
post of Linguistics mentioned in preference column for Item.No.2 is omitted.
Therefore, candidates who have
applied for the post of Linguistics (Item No.2) are hereby informed to
submit an application attached with ID
Proof for refund of Examination fees wef. 29th June, 2026 to 31st July 2026 from the
Commission’s office.
2.
The
Specialization mentioned for Item.No.22 ( Backlog Vacancy) 2024, is omitted
vide letter No.HED/GE/Post-Advt(Pt-II/2021 dated 8th June 2026, for
the post of Assistant Professor (English)
, reserved for B.T Zeliang Tribe.
Those candidates belonging to Zeliang Tribe who have already applied for CESE
2026 with Masters in English/English Literature with NET in English or Ph.D may
write an application to the undersigned indicating posts in order of preference
wef. 23rd June, 2026 to 3rd July 2026.
3.
For
the Post of Assistant Professor
(Chemistry), candidates with Masters in Organic Chemistry with NET in
Chemical Sciences & P.hD in Inorganic Chemistry are eligible.
4.
For
the Post of Assistant Professor (Anthropology),
candidates with Masters in A.I.H.C Archaeology with NET in Archaeology & PhD
in A.I.H.C & Archaeology is NOT
eligible.
5.
The
date of written Examination for CESE 2026 is re-scheduled to 25th July 2026 onwards and downloading
of Admission Certificate will commence 7 (seven) days prior to the date of
examination i.e 18th July,
2026.
