Corrigendum

      In continuation to the Advertisement No. NPSC-1/CESE-2026 dated 29.04.2026 and Addendum/Corrigendum dated 12.05.2026, the following corrigendum and clarification regarding subject eligibility and related matters is shown as under:

1.      As per the letter from Directorate of Higher Education vide No. HED/GE/Post-Advt       (pt-1)/2021/101 dated 22^nd May, 2026, in supersession to the Addendum/Corrigendum dated 11^th May 2026, Point No.2 the preference column shall be omitted keeping in line with NHESR 2015. The final recommendation will be entirely on merit basis, except         1 (one) post  of Linguistics under Item No.2 and backlog vacancies.

2.      For the post of Asst. Professor/PGT (Geography), a candidate with Masters of Science in Geography and Resource Management is eligible to apply.

3.      For the posts of Asst.Professor (Geology), a candidate with Masters of Science in Applied Geology & Ph.D in applied Geology is eligible to apply.

4.      For the Post of Asst. Professor (Chemistry), candidate with Masters in Bio-Chemistry is NOT eligible.

5.      For the Post of Asst.Professor (Botany), a candidate with Masters in Bio-chemistry and Molecular Biology is NOT eligible.

6.      For Asst.Professor (Environmental Science) candidate with Ph.D in Bio-Chemistry is NOT eligible. Required Qualification is Master in Environmental Science with NET or Ph.D in Environmental Science.

7.       For the Post of Asst. Professor (Physical Science) under College Teachers Education (CTE), NET or PhD in Education is mandatory. As such, candidates with NET in Physics/Chemistry but without NET/Ph.D in Education are henceforth NOT eligible as per NCTE Norms and regulations. (Those candidates who have applied for Item No. 19 only without NET or PhD in Education may claim for refund by submitting an application to the Secretary NPSC )

8.      The 2 (Two) posts of Asst. Professor (Commerce) notified in Addendum dated 18^th May 2026 may be read as reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (I.I) and not as rendered.

9.      Other Terms and Conditions remain the same.
