Applications are invited for filling up the following vacancies under the Government of Nagaland in the manner prescribed below:

Fresh Vacancies:

Item No. 1:      4 (four) posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Home Department (Police Establishment Branch) (3 posts reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland, 1  post reserved for BT Chakhesang).

 

Item No. 2:      1 (one) post of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Power Department, ( Reserved for BT Sangtam).

 

Item No. 3:      1 (one) post of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Nagaland State Human Rights Commission, (Reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland).

 

Item No. 4:      2 (two) posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Cooperation Department, [1 post reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland,  1 post reserved for BT Chakhesang, (1 post reserved for Person with Benchmark Disability either from Indigenous Inhabitant or BT reservation)].

 

Item \No. 5:     1 (one) post of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Land Revenue Department (Land Records and Survey), (Reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland).

 

Item No. 6:      3 (three) posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Industries and Commerce Department, (2 posts reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland, 1  post reserved for BT Zeliang).

 

Item No. 7:      2 (two) posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, (1 post reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland, 1  post reserved for BT Sangtam).

Item No. 8:      3 (three) posts of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Home Department, Secretariat Administrative Branch (A), (1 post each reserved for BT Chang, BT Khiamniungan and BT Sumi-Kiphire).

Item No. 11:    1 (one) post of Stenographer (Grade-III)  under Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Development, (Reserved for  Person with Benchmark Disability).

Item No. 12: 1 (one) post of Stenographer (Grade-III) under Finance Department, Treasuries & Accounts Branch, (Reserved for BT Khiamniungan).

 

Qualification:

 

Item No 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10,11&12:       Graduate in any discipline with 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Operation and 1 (one) year course in Shorthand possessing a speed of 80 words per minute.

 

Item No 8:       Graduate in any discipline with 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Operation and 1 (one) year course in Shorthand possessing a speed of 100 words per minute.

Age as on 01.01.2024:  Minimum -21 years   Maximum -30 years

Note:

1.     The upper age limit is relaxable by:

(a)            5(five) years for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

(b)            Age concession for serving Government employees will be allowed, the equal numbers of years they are in service to a maximum of 5 (five) years.

2.     100% of the vacancies are reserved for candidates to (a) Any Naga Tribe (b) Kuki   (c) Kachari      (d) Garo and (e) Mikir provided such persons are Indigenous Inhabitant of the State of Nagaland.

3.     Implementation of reservation for backward tribes in the state shall be in accordance with the notification issued vide NO.RCBT5/87(pt-II) dated 14-04-2021. 15-06-2012 & 04.09.2015.

4.     Reservation for person with Disability, wherever applicable as sanctioned by the user department in accordance with the Government Notification NO.AR-3/Gen-9/97 dated 13th August 2020.

5.     Terms & conditions.

(i)             Only those candidates who possess the requisite qualification acquired from recognized university/institution at the time of applying will be eligible to apply for the post(s).

(ii)            Candidates must produce attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents/materials to the Commission as and when called for.

a)     HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth. No other Certificate will be accepted for age proof.

b)     Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Backward Tribe Certificate as relevant and applicable.

c)     For Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), certificate from competent medical authority is required.

d)     Proof of Educational Qualification: Mark Sheets & Pass certificates/provisional pass certificates from matriculation onwards till requisite qualification. If for any reason pass certificates/provisional pass certificates are not issued by the Board/Institute/University, letter/certificate to that effect from Board/ Institute/University must be submitted.

e)     All relevant documents/certificates to be submitted should have been issued by the concerned authority/institution/board/university on or before the last date of submission of application form.

f)      All original documents are also to be produced as when called for and also during the interview without which candidates will not be allow to appear the interview.

6.     Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, S.C, S.T & B.T Certificates should be signed only by District Authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner.

7.     IN CASE IT IS DETECTED AT ANY STAGE OF RECRUIMENT THAT A CANDIDATE DOES NOT FULFIL THE ELIGIBLITY NORMS AND/OR THAT HE/SHE HAS FURNISHED INCORRECT/FALSE INFORMATION OR HAS SUPRESSED ANY MATERIAL FACT(S), HIS/HER CANDIDATURE SHALL STAND CANCLLED.

8.     Required shorthand speed (w.p.m.) must be mentioned either on mark sheet or in their completion certificate.

9.     The decision of the Commission in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of examination, other tests and selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence shall be entertained by the Commission in this regard.

10.  Application form will not be issued from the office of the Commission.

11.  Only OTR applications for Stenographer will be accepted.

12.  OTR (One Time Registration ) will be available from noon of  20th September, 2024 till noon of 3rd October, 2024. Only those candidates who are eligible to appear Stenographer Exam-2024 may register.

13.  Online application can be submitted through NPSC portal i.e https://npsc.nagaland.gov.in from noon of 20th September,2024 till noon of  4th October,2024.

14.  For candidates who are Government employees, “No Objection Certificate” should be uploaded while submitting online application.

15.  OTR (One Time Registration) will be free of cost. Candidates have to pay examination fee of Rs. 300/-, convenience fee of Rs. 25/- and payment gateway charges as applicable.

16.  Any issue/complaints must be settled on or before the last date of submission of application form. No complaints will be entertained thereafter. For any queries / assistance candidates can call the NPSC helpdesk number : 9402988506 on working days (10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs)

17.  Date of Exam will be notified in the Commission Website.
