NO.NPSC/ADVT/EDS-2012:: Applications are invited for filling up the following vacancies under the Government of Nagaland in the manner prescribed below:

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Assistant Professors/Lecturers

Item No.

  (i)   Master’s Degree from a recognized University in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade relaxable by 5% in case of ST/SC.
(ii)  Clearing of National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/SLET/SET.
(iii) Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.

Item No. 11 (a) Lecturer-College ::First Class MCA or First Class BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology, relaxable by 5% marks in respect of ST/SC candidates.
             (b)  (i) Assistant Professor-NCTE:: A Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/Computer Application with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever is followed) 
                  (ii) MEd. With at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed);
                 (iii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC/ any other affiliation body/State Government, from time to tome for the positions of principal and lecturers, shall be mandatory.


Item No. 12 (i) PG in English with Linguistics with 50% and BEd/MEd. with   55% marks or its equivalent grade with 5% marks relaxation for ST/SC candidates.
            (ii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC in the general norms including a pass in the NCT/SLET/SET prescribed in these regulations shall be mandatory.

Item No. 13 (i) PG in Chemistry or Physics with 50% and BEd/MEd. with 55% marks or its equivalent grade with 5% marks relaxation for ST/SC candidates.
           (ii) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC in the general norms including a pass in the NCT/SLET/SET prescribed in these regulations shall be mandatory.

Item No. 14 (i) Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization
            (ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.


II. Lecturers  / TRA (Training Research Assistant)

Item No. 15,16,17 & 18 PG in relevant subject with 50% marks and relaxable by 5% for ST/SC candidates.
(i) Item No. 15: MA in Education with BEd.
(ii) Item No. 16: MSc in Mathematics.
(iii) Item No. 17: MA in Psychology.
(iv) Item No. 18: MSc in Mathematics.


     Candidates with PG in Statistics may also apply for item  No. 16 & 18 provided he/she has passed Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics and has other minimum requisite qualification.
     Selected candidates for Item No(s)  16, 17 & 18 will be required to complete BEd course through recognized Institution/IGNOU within a period of 3 years at their own expenses beyond which they will not be eligible for further increment/ promotion to higher grade.

III PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

Item No. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28         Post Graduate 2nd Class Degree of a recognized University on specific subject with minimum 50% marks with BEd. and relaxable by 5% for ST/SC candidates.
          In respect of candidates not possessing the prescribed BEd. qualification, relaxation shall be admissible as per Notifications NO. EDS(A)-5/2002 dt 27.10/08, 09/01/2009, 18/11/2009, 10/01/2010 and 18/02/2010 provided the short-listed  candidates belonging to the Backward Tribes of Konyak, Chang, Khiamnuingan, Yimchunger, Sangtam, Phom, Chakhesang, Pochury and Zeliang complete the said course within 5(Five) years and within 2(Two) years in respect of the other Naga tribes.

            BEd. Degree is not required for the candidates applying for the post of PGT in Computer as per the department’s letter NO.EDS/HSS/4-1/2008-1 dated 25th Feb. 2009

SCALE OF PAY :

Item No. 1-14  : P.B. – 3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- +AGP  Rs. 6,000/-
Item No. 15-17 : P.B. – 3, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- +GP  Rs. 5,400/-
Item No. 18-29 : P.B. – 2, Rs.   9,300 – 34,800/- +GP  Rs. 4,600/-

AGE LIMIT AS ON 01-01-2011 :

Item No. 1-29 :      Minimum - 21 yrs.  Maximum - 30 yrs.

NOTE:

1. The upper age is relaxable by :
(i)  5 (Five) years for SC/ST Candidates.
(ii)  Government Employees will be allowed age relaxation the equal number of years they are in service, subject to a maximum of 5 (Five) years.
(iii)  For Physically Handicapped persons, the upper age limit will be relaxable by 10(Ten) years and 3% post reservation will be maintained, wherever applicable as per Government Notification NO. AR-3/GEN-9/97 dt. 16/01/2008. In order to avail relaxation, a certificate from competent Medical Authority should be submitted along with the application form.
(iv)  For Item NO. 1-18, further relaxation of 5(Five) years shall be allowed for candidates with Ph.D and M.Phil qualification.

2.  80% of the vacancies are reserved for candidates belonging to (i) any Naga Tribe (ii) Kuki (iii) Garo (iv) Mikir, provided, such persons are Indigenous Inhabitant of the State of Nagaland. 25% of the vacancies are reserved for the candidates belonging (a) Konyak,       (b) Phom,   (c) Sangtam, (d) Yimchunger (e) Chang and (f) Khiamnuingan.
Further, the balance 12% of the vacancies are reserved for the candidates belonging to (a) Chakhesang / Pochury (6%) (b) Zeliang (4%) and (c) Sumi of Kiphire District (2%) vide Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department Notification NO.RCBT 5/87(Pt-II) dated 14th April, 2011.

3.  For candidates who are Government Employees and still serving, “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” portion in the Application Form should be signed by the Head of the Department.

4. Application Form can be obtained from the Commission’s Office on payment of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred) only by cash or Online form can be downloaded from the Commission’s website www.npsc.co.in  and submit/send by registered post along with Demand Draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima, payable at Kohima, being fees for Form and Examination.

5.  Candidates must submit the following documents:-
(i)  2 (Two) copies of recent passport size photographs (to be pasted in the appropriate space provided for).
(ii) Original examination fee receipt issued by the Commission/Bank Draft
(iii) Self-Addressed envelope (Size 9” x 4”)
(iv)  Attested copy of HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth. No other certificates will be entertained for proof of age.
(v)  Attested copy of Mark Sheets and Pass certificates from HSLC/ Equivalent onwards till requisite qualification.
(vi)  Attested copy of Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate (I.I.C.), SC/ST, and (or) BT Certificate (if applicable).

6. Candidates may send their application by registered post with Acknowledgement Due. They may also submit their Application Forms in the Commission’s office personally.
For Applications submitted from outside Nagaland, a relaxation of 10 (Ten) days is granted, provided it is dispatched by post on or before the last date of submission and addressed to the Secretary, N.P.S.C.

7.  Incomplete Application in any respect (Including unsigned) and or applications received after the closing date shall be rejected.

8. The last date for submission of application Form is 3.2.2012

9. Application Forms will be issued  from  17.1.2012 to 1.2.2012
